LiCopter – Prototype Evolution

Description

The LiCopter prototype marked a crucial step in its developmental journey. Designed to test endurance, payload efficiency, and structural stability, this initial version demonstrated significant capabilities but revealed opportunities for improvement. With an endurance of 25 minutes, it fell short of the desired performance metrics, prompting modifications and enhancements that led to the current high-end design.

This prototype laid the groundwork for refining the LiCopter's endurance, weight distribution, and aerodynamic design, setting the stage for the improved final version.

Specifications:

  • Endurance: 25 minutes of flight time.
  • Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW): 7kg.
  • Payload Capacity: Compatible with modular payloads.
Key Features:

  • Compact Design: Early iteration of the foldable structure.
  • Helped identify areas for optimizing weight and endurance.
  • Aerodynamic Frame: Tested for stability and payload capacity
  • Scalability: Informed enhancements for endurance and usability in the final model.
Project Contributions :

  • Enhanced structural design for greater stability and efficiency.
  • Real-world testing insights applied to the final LiCopter version.
  • Improved battery and weight optimization for extended endurance.
